Extent

Crowan & Wendron was created from Wendron and parts of Breage division after the 2009 Cornwall Council election after objections were raised to the proposal to divide Crowan between two divisions.[2][3] Wendron was first represented by Mike Clayton, an Independent, and after he died in 2011, Loveday Jenkin for Mebyon Kernow.[4][5][6] It was abolished at the 2013 Cornwall Council election and replaced by Crowan & Wendron.

The division covers the villages of Townshend, Praze-an-Beeble, Crowan, Burras, Trewennack, Trevenen Bal, Wendron, Trenear, Rame, Carnkie, Halwin, Porkellis, Penmarth, Polmarth and most of Leedstown (which is shared with the Gwinear-Gwithian and St Erth division).[7][8]
