Currow offer Hurling as well, but they do not play above intermediate level.

The East Kerry board runs its own competitions for clubs within the division. The most important is the O'Donoghue Cup which is awarded to the winners of the East Kerry Senior Football Championship. Currow GAA was founded in 1911 when the Wolfe Tones and Currans merged. During the club's early years the club was linked with close neighbours especially Scartaglin GAA when players from each club would frequently swap sides with the neighbouring club.

Currow have won the East Kerry Championship on three occasions since their formation in 1911. The first time they won was in 1945 with the Shanahan brothers to the fore. They also won in 1992 and 1998. In 1996 the club won the East Kerry League title. In 1982 the club won first of its County titles when they won the County Novice Championship with hard win over local neighbours Scartaglin. In 1988 the club won the second of their county titles when they won the Kerry Junior Football Championship. In 2013 they won their third County Title when they beat St.Marys, Caherciveen to win the County Intermediate Championship.
