Danais (hundred)
Danais (Latinised as Dacorum) was a hundred in what is now Dacorum, Hertfordshire.[1] Danais was latinised to Dacorum in 1196.[2][3][4] The name Danais means the Hundred of the Danes.[4][5] In the 16th century, Dacorum absorbed the hundred of Tring.[3]
