Dave Chalk

David Lee Chalk (born August 30, 1950) is a former Major League Baseball player. Third base and shortstop were his primary positions. He batted and threw right-handed.

He played varsity baseball for Justin F. Kimball High School in Dallas, Texas, where he was named All City for two years before graduating in 1968.[1] The California Angels selected Chalk in the first round of the 1972 amateur draft. Playing for the Angels, he was selected to two consecutive American League All-Star teams. He also played for the Texas Rangers, Oakland Athletics and Kansas City Royals before leaving baseball after the 1981 season.

He was selected as a member of the 1974 American League All-Star Team. In 2019, Chalk was inducted into the National College Baseball Hall of Fame.[2]
