Zucker worked as a story editor on the CBS television series Judging Amy, wrote pilot scripts for CBS and ABC, as well as various stage plays.

Zucker served as Vice President of Drama Series for CBS and Vice President of Drama Series and Current Programs at Warner Bros. Television. While Zucker was President of Television for Scott Free Productions, Scott Free has produced several programs including Emmy- and Golden Globe-nominated The Good Wife, crime drama Numb3rs, Civil War medical drama Mercy Street on PBS and Amazon half-hour action-comedy starring Jean-Claude Van Damme as Jean-Claude Van Johnson.
