Dhrubatara
Dhrubatara (transl. Pole Star) is an Indian Bengali television Romantic drama thriller which airs on Star Jalsha and is also available on digital platform Hotstar.[1] It premiered on January 27, 2020.[2][3] The show is produced by Acropolis Entertainment Pvt. Ltd.[4] It stars Shyamoupti Mudly and Indrajeet Bose[5]

Plot
In spite of having some misconception, childhood friends Tara and Agni used to love each other.[6] But the arrival of Dhrubajyoti Lahiri, a business tycoon with his motive of exacting revenge on Agni's family and his marriage with Tara not only twisted that equation but also inserted a tale of love, compromise, conspiracy and revenge.[7][8]
The story revolves around Tara, a young, intelligent and orphan girl of nearly 20 years of age, who used to love every members of her family. Tara was secretly in love with her childhood friend Agni. Also, she took care of the family business and is extremely talented in that field. After 15 years since childhood, Agni returns to India and Tara was elated by the news. But fate had kept them away from each other. Just as Tara and Agni was about to start their friendship afresh, Dhrubajyoti Lahiri, a ruthless, arrogant, and selfish businessman, who was rival of Agni's family, enters in her life. Tara used to challenge him and defeat him everytime, but one day he conspired to destroy Agni's family and aquired their assets and also secretly frames Tara for the same. As a result, Agni breaks all ties with Tara. Dejected and heartbroken, Tara agrees to beg before Dhrubo to save the family assets.
Dhrubo agrees to return the assets but he puts forth a shocking condition before her. In order to save her family assets, Tara must sacrifice her love and marry Dhrubo. Heartbroken and helpless, Tara agrees and thus marries him. After knowing this, a heartbroken Agni starts hating Tara and decides to seek revenge. Meanwhile, Tara falls in love with Dhrubo and also Dhrubo falls for her. This angers Agni and he conspires to destroy Tara and Dhrubo's happily married life. But he retreats and reforms his ways after he realises the real reason behind Tara's marriage. After this, Tara successfully exposes Dhrubo's sister Ranja in front of everyone. Agni, after turning into a new leaf, decides to leave Tara forever, so that she can spend her rest of the life with Dhrubo. Also, Tara and Dhrubo, who are deeply in love with each other, remarries and decides to start their relationship afresh, but they had to overcome many obstacles to stay united.
