Plot

In Italy, in 1930, Professor Bonaccorsi, renowned psychiatrist, conducts research on madness in the asylum where he works as a doctor in Tuscany. It has three mistresses Bianca (his assistant), Carla (wife of a colleague) and Francesca (wife of the director of the asylum). A newcomer, Dr. Anna Bersani, is there for a probationary period; very fast, is opposed to the theories of Bonaccorsi.
