El Afweyn, also known as Ceel Afweyn, is a town in the Sanaag region of Somaliland.

Demographics

As of 2005 the town El Afweyn has a total population of 17,574 residents. It is populated by the Habr Je'lo and Habar Yoonis subclans of the Isaaq.[1]
