Emil Melcher (29 October 1895 Karlsruhe, Germany – ?) was a German professional football player as forward and coach.

Player career

Emil Melcher played as a forward for some German football clubs such as 1. FC Pforzheim, Karlsruher FV and Alemannia Aachen.[1]

Managerial career

He was assistant of Reichs trainer Sepp Herberger in Germany national football team in 1936–42. In 1938 World Cup he was assistant trainer in Germany team. During World War I he leave Germany team and after the War Emil Melcher managed some German football clubs such as Eintracht Frankfurt, Alemannia Aachen, Vfl Bochum, Bayer 04 Leverkusen.[2]
