Emily Maltman
Emily Maltman is a British diplomat who is the current British Ambassador to the Democratic Republic of Congo since April 2020 in succession to John Murton.

Maltman was born in Wales. After attending the Ysgol Penglais School, she studied at Somerville College, Oxford, where she completed a Bachelor of Arts in Jurisprudence in 2003. Before her appointment as Ambassador to the Democratic Republic of Congo, she was based in Beirut as Head of the Syria Overseas Network. From 2012 to 2015, she worked at the Embassy in Kinshasa as well. Previously she worked for the Foreign & Commonwealth Office in Turkey, Iraq, Jamaica and Belgium.[1]
