Eric Fromm

Eric Fromm (born June 27, 1958) is a former professional tennis player from the United States.

Tennis career

Perhaps Fromm's best result was reaching the Round of 16's of the French Open in 1983 in singles, where he lost in straight sets to #1 in the world Jimmy Connors[1] and the semi-finals of the 1984 French Open doubles with Shlomo Glickstein of Israel, where they lost in five sets to Yannick Noah and Henri Leconte. Fromm's career highlights include a top 50 in the world ranking in singles and top 30 in the world in doubles and wins over Yannick Noah at Wimbledon and Pat Cash at the US Open. Fromm retired from the pro tour in 1986. Fromm was inducted into the Eastern Tennis Hall of Fame in 2016.[2]

After pro tennis

Fromm then completed his undergraduate degree at Columbia University and earned an MBA from Columbia Business School. Fromm joined SPORTIME in 2002 as Managing Partner of the 8 indoor/outdoor court SPORTIME Harbor Island in Mamaroneck, NY and was promoted to the Executive Management Team of SPORTIME in 2007. Fromm became General Manager and Director of Tennis of the historic Orange Lawn Tennis Club in 2018.[3]

Fromm raised his family in Chappaqua, NY with his wife, Lori, who is currently VP, Brand Sales of Time, Inc. Fromm has three grown children, a son Daniel, and two daughters, Carly and Alana. Fromm and his wife now reside in New Rochelle, NY.
