Erik Blegvad (Danish pronunciation: [ˈb̥lɑjˌvæːð]; 3 March 1923 – 14 January 2014) was a British illustrator of the various books, inc. The Winter Bear and The Borrowers . He died on 14 January 2014 at the age of 90, which was confirmed by his son Peter because it wasn't widely reported.[1]
