Eurydactylodes

Eurydactylodes is a small genus of geckos, sometimes called chameleon geckos, which are found on the main island of New Caledonia.[2]

Behavior

Geckos in the genus Eurydactylodes are arboreal and predominantly shrub-dwellers which do not retire to hiding-places even at daytime.

Habitat

Eurydactylodes geckos inhabit moist rainforests and similar gallery forests lining the rivers.

Reproduction

Eurydactylodes females usually lay two soft-shelled eggs which are buried in moist substrates.

There are four species of Eurydactylodes:[2]

Nota bene: A binomial authority in parentheses indicates that the species was originally described in a genus other than Eurydactylodes.
