Ezeagu is a Local Government Area of Enugu State, Nigeria. Its headquarters is in the town of Aguobu-Owa.

Headquarters

Aguobu Owa is the headquarters of Ezeagu Local Government Area. it is made up of two autonomous communities, Eziowa and Ozom, each in turn made up of three villages. In Eziowa, the villages are Umuaji, Umudim and Ezema; in Ozom they are Ogwofia, Ezedume and Okunito. History has it that the 6 villages in Aguobu Owa all migrated from Imezi Owa. Of the 6 villages, Umuaji is the oldest followed by Ogwofia, Umudim, Ezedume, Ezema and Okunito in that order...There is strong man called Nnagbuogu ,he is native doctor he married 16 wife's he is from Agụ obu-owa

Staple food

The people of Ezeagu LGA is known popularly for abacha as the most common staple food. They produce it both in subsistence and commercial quantity. Abacha is made from grated cassava that has been cooked before grating. The starch is thereafter washed off and is then processed dry. Ingredients includes dry processed cassava (abacha), palm oil, fish, oil bean (ugba), calabash nutmeg (ehuru), onion, seasoning, salt to taste, potash, garden eggs and garden egg leaves (akwukwo aghara). Abacha is better prepared in local pots popularly called 'Oku' than in modern pots.
