Felipe first started playing the bass at age 13 when a school band needed a bass player. He has developed a very unique playing style and is especially known for the three-finger right-hand technique. Through the years he has been awarded as Best Bass Player countless times in virtually all the specialized media in Brazil and has landed 7th and 8th places on the famous Japanese rock magazine Burrn! reader’s poll.[2]

After joining Angra at age 20, Felipe started a very prolific international career, recording multiple albums and touring through more than 30 countries. He’s also very successful as a bass teacher, currently having thousands of students in his online courses. [3]

He plays Ibanez SR and BTB basses with D'Addario strings and Aguilar amps.[4]
