Gandhi Institute of Engineering and Technology University (GIET University)(Odia: ଗାନ୍ଧୀ ଯାନ୍ତ୍ରିକ ଓ ପ୍ରୌଦ୍ୟୋଗିକ ବିଶ୍ୱବିଦ୍ୟାଳୟ, ଗୁଣୁପୁର) is a university located at Gunupur, in the state of Odisha, India. It was established in the year 1997. The Odisha government issued a gazette notification for award of the university status to GIET Gunupur in December 2018[1] GIET UNIVERSITY is emerging as a benchmark for the continuous journey towards excellence amongst institutions of higher education in the field of Science, Technology, Agriculture, Management, Economics and Literature across the country.

Managing trust

Prof. (Dr.) Satya Prakash Panda ( President) and Prof. ( Dr.) Chandra Dhwaj Panda ( Vice-President) founded a trust called Vidya Bharati Education Trust which is a non-governmental organization, established in the year 1996. The Trust works in the area of Education & Literacy, towards the promotion of modern and technical education in the state of Odisha . The Vidya Bharti Education Trust is a conglomerate of educational institutions.
