Gastón Olveira

Gastón Hernán Olveira Echeverría (born 21 April 1993) is a Uruguayan footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Paraguay's Club Olimpia.

Club career

Olveira began his career in 2013 with River Plate Montevideo.[1] He made his league debut for the club on 19 April 2014 in a 2-1 away defeat to Sud América.[2]

On 17 January 2021, Club Olimpia announced Olveira as their new Goalkeeper.

International career

Olveira was part of Uruguay squad which won gold medal at 2015 Pan American Games.[3] On 11 October 2019, he received maiden call-up to senior team of Uruguay as a replacement for Fernando Muslera.[4]
