George Shaw (Australian politician)
George William Shaw (28 July 1913 – 9 January 1966) was an Australian politician. Born in Rockhampton, Queensland, he was educated at state schools before becoming a sugar mill manager at Mackay. In 1963, he was elected to the Australian House of Representatives as the Country Party member for Dawson. He died in 1966. In the resulting by-election, Dawson was won by Labor for the first time.[1]
