Girls Just Want to Have Fun (soundtrack)

The Girls Just Want to Have Fun soundtrack was released in 1985 on CD, vinyl and cassette in the United States on the PolyGram Records/Mercury Records label. Contrary to an earlier version of this entry, the soundtrack was released in the United States. It's been out of print for quite some time and is now quite rare and expensive. The only song that received any attention from the soundtrack was "(Come On) Shout" by Alex Brown, a former backup singer for Ray Charles. The accompanying music video received substantial airplay as well.
