Glenn Wilkes

Glenn Wilkes (November 28, 1928 - November 21, 2020) was a former collegiate basketball coach who was inducted into the National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame.[1][2] He attended Mercer College.[3] He is known as the Godfather of Florida basketball.[4] He had over 550 wins along with 27 winning seasons.[5] He coached from 1957 to 1993.[2] He was the coach of the Stetson Hatters and helped in their transition from the NAIA to NCAA Division I.[6] He wrote a book called Basketball.[7] His son, Glenn Wilkes Jr. is a basketball coach at Rollins College.[8] His grandson Wyatt played college basketball at Florida State.[9]
