Greg McKeown (author)

Greg McKeown (born 1977 in London, England) is an author, public speaker,[1] leadership and business strategist,[2] and New York Times Bestselling Author.[3][4] In 2012, The World Economic Forum inducted McKeown into the Forum of Young Global Leaders.[5] His most recent bestseller, Essentialism: The Disciplined Pursuit of Less,[6] (Crown Business, April 2014),[7] is a business and self-leadership book that discusses how to figure out what is essential, how to eliminate what's nonessential and how to make it as effortless as possible to do what really matters.[8][9]

Career

McKeown earned an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business[10] after studying communications and journalism at Brigham Young University.[11]

McKeown is the founder and CEO of McKeown, Inc., a leadership and strategy design agency based in California.[12] Prior to founding McKeown, Inc., McKeown worked for Heidrick & Struggles' Global Leadership Practice.[13]

McKeown is the author of Essentialism: The Disciplined Pursuit of Less,[14] and co-author (with Liz Wiseman) of the Multipliers: How the Best Leaders Make Everyone Smarter.[15] He is also a blogger for the Harvard Business Review[16] and LinkedIn’s Influencers Group.[17][18]

Public Speaker

McKeown speaks on how to live and lead as an Essentialist.[19] McKeown interviewed Al Gore at the Annual Conference of the World Economic Forum[20] in Davos, Switzerland, and received an invitation from the Crown Prince of Norway, Haakon, to speak at his Annual Innovation Conference.[21]

McKeown has been interviewed on television and radio shows including NPR's All Things Considered[22] and NBC.[23]

Personal life

Originally from London, England, McKeown now lives in California with his wife, Anna, and their four children.
