Gudlavalleru Engineering College is the vision of late Sri Vallurupalli Venkata Rama Seshadri Rao, the man behind the college. It was started in the year 1998 by the AANM & VVRSR Educational Society with an intake of 180 students, 40 each in EEE,ECE,and CSE branches and 60 in ME branch. The present intake is 1200 .In addition to the above, 10% of sanctioned intake are admitted at second B.Tech. level under lateral entry scheme.
- The college is located at Gudlavalleru, Krishna District, Andhra Pradesh. Gudlavalleru at 5.729 mtrs above mean sea level is on 16 degrees 21 minutes 06 seconds 67 subseconds north latitude and 81 degrees 3 minutes 13 seconds 97 subseconds east longitude. Gudlavalleru is a popular village in Andhra Pradesh, famous for its cattle fair and rice milling industry. Its villagers are known for their pioneering work in poultry farming. The village has been a hub of educational activity with a number of Educational Institutions located in it. Its Panchayat has the distinction of being honoured at the National level in 1973. Gudlavalleru is located on Gudivada -Machilipatnam route, well connected by road and rail to Vijayawada (55km), Machilipatnam (26km) and Gudivada (8km) and by rail to distant places like Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, Tirupati, Chennai, Bengaluru, Puri, Bilaspur and Jagdalpur.
- All eligible B.Tech programs of EEE, ME, ECE & IT have been accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA) Under Tier - I for a period of three Academic Years from 2019-20 to 2021-22. All eligible B.Tech programs were earlier accredited Thrice by NBA for three years in 2008, 2013 & 2016 respectively.
- To be applied for reaccreditation for CE, CSE & fresh accreditation for MBA under Tier–I.
- The College is Accredited by NAAC with "A" Grade for a period of five years w.e.f. 29-03-2016.
- The UGC, New Delhi has conferred Autonomous status to the college for a period of six years from the academic year 2014-15.
- Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), vide its letter dated 19-11-2010 has informed that it has accredited this college.
- The college has been recognized under 2(f) & 12 (B) Acts of UGC, New Delhi.

Dr. P. Ravindra Babu, M.Tech., Ph.D. Professor of ME with 37 years of Teaching, Administration and Research experience. He has 55 publications in National & International Journals and Conferences, guiding research scholars. He is the recipient of 3 prestigious awards from professional bodies, ISTE, IE(I) and Govt. of A.P. He served as Principal from 2017 to 2020. He assumed charge as Advisor to the Management on 01-12-2020.

Dr. P. Kodanda Rama Rao, M.Tech, Ph.D. Professor of Civil Engineering with 22 years of Teaching, Administration and Research experience. He has 28 publications in National and International Journals and Conferences. He assumed charges as Vice Principal - Administration on 01-12-2020. He looks after General Administration of the college.
VICE PRINCIPAL - ACADEMICS
Dr. M. R. Ch. Sastry, M.Tech, Ph.D. Professor of Mechanical Engineering with 21 years of Teaching, Administration and Research experience. He has 23 publications in National and International Journals and Conferences. He assumed charges as Vice Principal - Academics on 01-12-2020. He looks after General Administration of the college.

Dr. B. Karuna Kumar, M.Tech, Ph.D. Professor of Mechanical Engineering with 38 years of Teaching, Administrative and Research experience. He has 30 publications in National and International Journals and Conferences. He assumed charges as Director (Academic Strengthening and Advancement) on 01-12-2020.
DIRECTOR (PG Studies, Consultancy & Testing and R&D)
Dr. P. Nageswara Reddy, M.E, Ph.D. Professor of Mechanical Engineering has 31 years of Teaching, Administrative and Research experience. He published about 25 technical papters in National and International Journals and conferences. He has guided two Ph.Ds successfully. Dr. Reddy joined this institution in October 2009 and served the college as Principal from March 2010 to November 2017, and as the Director (AS&A) from December 2017 to November 2020. Presently he looks after PG Studies, Consultancy & Testing and R&D as the Director (PGCRD).
