Habibganj
Habibganj is a suburb in Bhopal, India, in the BHEL township in the city of Bhopal. It is notable for the Habibganj Railway Station, the second busiest station in the city after the Bhopal Junction.
Etymology
In Hindustani, Habibganj means The Lovely City. This name was given by the Begum of Bhopal, when she was greatly influenced by the greenery and water resources of Bhopal City.
Points of interest
The most important point of interest of this region is the Bhopal Habibganj Railway Station. Major upgrades to the station are planned. For the overall revamp of the Habibganj railway station, Rs 450 crore is being spent, out of which the cost of station redevelopment is around Rs 100 crore and the cost of commercial development is around Rs 350 crore.ref>"Worldclass up-gradation". It is India's First ISO 9001 certified railway station with the stoppage and headquarters of many trains. The station is the headquarters of the famous Shaan - E - Bhopal Express (The pride of Bhopal), India's first ISO:9001:2000 certified train. Besides the Bhopal Express, there are 12 trains, having a starting and termination point at Habibganj. And another India's 4th fastest train 'New Delhi - Bhopal Shatabdi Express ' also terminates from this railway station. The New Delhi-Bhopal Shatabdi Express is the fastest train only topped by the Vande Bharat Express, the Gatimaan Express, and Tejas express.
