Halaphritis platycephala

Halaphritis platycephala is a species of thornfish native to the oceans off of Tasmania (Australia) where it can be found at depths of from 5 to 13 metres (16 to 43 ft) preferring caves and other low-light habitats. This species grows to a standard length of 16.8 centimetres (6.6 in). This species is the only known member of its genus.[1]
