Hamid Jafari

Hamid Jafari (Persian: حمید جعفری) is an Afghan kickboxer. He is an ethnic Hazara, who lives in Germany. He is world champion of the amateurs in the weight class up to 60 kg in the world association WKU.[1]

Early life and career

Hamid Jafari was born in October 12, 2000 in Qom, Iran.

During the war in Afghanistan, Jafari's family emigrated to Iran, where he was born. He started kickboxing at the age of five. At the age of 12 he became a member of the kickboxers of the Afghan refugees in Iran. In 2015 he fled to Germany. He has been living in a refugee shelter in Lehrte since the beginning of 2016.[2][3][4]
