Hedge End railway station

Hedge End railway station is situated on the northern edge of the town of Hedge End in Hampshire, England. The station was opened by British Rail in 1990. It is 76 miles 76 chains (123.8 km) down the line from London Waterloo.

Services

The station is located on the Eastleigh to Fareham line, and is served by regular trains to London Waterloo and Portsmouth Harbour operated by South Western Railway.

The typical service pattern is 1 train per hour between London Waterloo and Portsmouth Harbour. Journey times to London are about 90 minutes and services to Portsmouth are about 40 minutes. During the evening between 17:00-20:00, more trains stop at Hedge End with a half hourly service to Fareham, Eastleigh, London Waterloo and Portsmouth Harbour.

All of these services are operated by Class 444 and Class 450 Electric Multiple Units, with the exception of one train to Portsmouth on weekdays only which is operated by Great Western Railway, using Class 158 and Class 166 Diesel Multiple Units.
