Controversy

In 2009 the then Head of Law, Colin Moyle received national press coverage when it was found that he had uploaded a number of pornographic videos starring his wife - without her knowledge.[6] In response Mr Moyle went on long-term sick leave before resigning, a Caerphilly county council spokesman said "The disciplinary panel of the school conducted a disciplinary hearing and concluded that had Mr Moyle not resigned he would have been dismissed for gross misconduct."[7]

In 2012 the then Headteacher Philip Jones was accused of "running a dictatorship" and calling teachers the "Taliban", and the NASUWT launched a teachers strike. Mr Jones was placed on Secondment in October 2012 with official resignation in 2013.[8]
