Hermann Bahlsen

Hermann Bahlsen (born 14 November 1859 in Hannover; died 6 November 1919 in Hannover) was a German entrepreneur.

Life

In 1889, Bahlsen founded Hannoversche Keksfabrik H. Bahlsen in Hannover (now Bahlsen GmbH & Co. KG ).[1][2] He sold Leibniz-cookies (Leibniz-Keks).[3][4]

Bahlsen's grandson, 61-year-old Alex Bahlsen, was the pilot of a small airplane when it crashed into Gabriola Island off the coast of British Columbia on 11 December 2019, killing everyone on board.[5]
