Holcocerus nobilis

Holcocerus nobilis is a moth in the family Cossidae. It was first described by Staudinger in 1884. It is found in Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kirghizstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, China, Iran and Afghanistan. The habitat consists of deserts and semi-deserts.

The length of the forewings is 15–21 mm. The ground colour of the forewings is light yellow, with a pattern of yellow and light brown spots. The hindwings are light yellow, with an ochraceus marginal border. Adults are on wing in summer, probably in two generations per year.[1]
