Overview

The app is designed to accept stories from users and professional authors.[5] The stories can be about 1000 words and told as conversations in text message form. Instead of flipping pages, readers tap their screen to read the next text message in the text conversation story. Users are also charged a fee for unlimited access to stories on the app.[6][7][8][9]

According to the founder, Prerna Gupta, their main goal for creating the app was to engage teenagers and millennials and get them to read stories without getting distracted.[10][11] The founders’ goal as indicated on the app as its slogan is to revive fiction from extinction in today’s social media generation.[12][13][14]
