Horní Cerekev
Horní Cerekev (German: Ober Zerekwe) is a town in Pelhřimov District in the Vysočina Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 1,800 inhabitants.

History
The age of Horní Cerekev is unknown. The town was first mentioned in 1352.
Sights
The Church of the Annunciation dates from 1384. It was extended and remodelled in the Baroque style in the 17th and 18th centuries.
A small fortress was created in the 14th century, surrounded by moats. It was rebuilt in 1734 to a castle and survives today in this style.
A statue of St. John of Nepomuk stands in the town square.
Education
The town has a kindergarten and primary school.
