Hydroelectricity in Albania
Albania is the biggest producer of hydroelectric energy in the world by percentage (90% as of 2011) and by own production (100%).[1] Albania aims to increase its production to 100%.[2] Some of the projects underway include Skavica, up to 350 MW, Devolli 400 MW, Vjosa 400 MW, Kalivaci and Ashta 48 MW hydropower plants, Valbona and Tropojë, 40 MW.
