This song is the theme song for the 2009 reality television program Kourtney and Khloé Take Miami. The "New York" version was used for the 2011 reality television program Kourtney and Kim Take New York. The song was also featured in a 2009 commercial on A&E Network advertising the show CSI: Miami. The song title also varies by location (see Alternate versions). Because of this the song is often referred to as "I'm in (Your City) Trick/Bitch".

Alternate versions

The song is originally titled "I'm in Miami Bitch", but it was edited for the radio release as "I'm in Miami Trick". In the rap community, "trick" often replaces "bitch" on the clean versions.[2] Internationally, sometimes "girl" or "chick" replaces "bitch". There are many alternate versions of the song, usually customized and meant for playing on dance/pop radio stations in each city. Many of the versions listed below have been released through the iTunes Store and Zune Marketplace as a remix album titled I'm In Your City Beach, with each version available physically only in its respective city (with the exception of "I'm in Miami Bitch".) Also many are available on Spotify, such as "I'm in Palm Beach Trick".

In addition to the many alternate versions of the song, there is a remix of the original version which features Pitbull.

In a surprise appearance at Coachella alongside electronic music artists Crystal Method, LMFAO performed "I'm in Coachella Bitch" while dressed as robots.

Also, for some international releases outside North America, the name of the country was used instead. For example, in Croatia it says "I'm in Croatia Bitch", in the Philippines it says "I'm in the Philippines Bitch",[3] or in the United Arab Emirates it says "I'm in the UAE Bitch".

There is a version used in a promotional video for the second season of British reality television show The Only Way Is Essex with the lyrics "I'm in Essex Girl".

"I'm in Miami Trick" has been used in the television advertising of the video game Saints Row: The Third, where it says "I'm in Saints Row Trick".

Music video

The music video for "I'm in Miami Trick" was uploaded to YouTube by LMFAO on October 5, 2009.[4] The music video exists in an explicit and a clean version where both features several girls in polka-dot bikinis and amongst those the porn star Jenny Hendrix.[5]

  1. ^ Original version was not released as a single in the UK, the song charted because of strong downloads from the Party Rock album.

Chuckie remix

In early 2009, Chicago DJ/producer 'DJ Inphinity' created a bootleg using the Silvio Ecomo remix of DJ Chuckie's 2008 hit "Let the Bass Kick" and the a cappella of LMFAO, creating "Let the Bass Kick in Miami Bitch" (or "Let the Bass Kick in Miami Girl" as a radio edit). The bootleg was spread across the internet and became a massive success at the Miami Winter Music Conference 2009. "Let the Bass Kick in Miami Bitch/Girl" was released in Europe in late-2009, peaking within the top ten of the charts in the United Kingdom,[9]and within the top 20 of the charts in Belgium (Flanders) and the Netherlands. In the former country, "Let the Bass Kick in Miami Bitch/Girl" peaked at number nine on the UK Singles Chart, and topped the UK Dance Chart, making the United Kingdom the only territory in which "Gettin' Over You" was not LMFAO's first top ten song.
