ImMature is an Indian web series produced by The Viral Fever (TVF).[2] It was premiered in 2018 at the first edition of Canneseries International film festival,[4] before being globally released on 20th February 2019 on Indian streaming platform MX Player as an original series.[5] The series is directed by Prem Mistry, who has also worked as the Production designer for TVF Pitchers and Permanent Roommates.

The show follows a one-conflict-per-episode format that ties into the protagonist Dhruv’s larger quest to befriend his love interest Chhavi.

Premise

Dhruv is 16, and in a hurry to grow up. With a little help from his school friends, the wannabe bad-boy Kabir, and the color-blind but doesn't know it Susu, Dhruv sets out to woo the first crush of his life, the feisty, out-of-his-league class topper, Chhavi. Venturing out of their childhood, in their last years of school, the trio find their first drink, pick their first fight and mend their first broken heart.[6]

Dhruv gets a new scooter as a surprise. But he expected a bullet bike from his parents.

The first episode of this coming of age drama introduces the lead characters of the show, Dhruv and his two friends Kabir and Susu. Having recently joined the 11th standard, the trio of friends are out to explore the world and enjoy it to the fullest. Dhruv comes across a beautiful and studious girl, Chhavi, for whom he develops a liking for. When they enter the 11th standard, Kabir asks Dhruv to get a bike in order to look cool in front of Chhavi. And excited Dhruv conveys the same to his parents and expects a new bullet bike. But things turn upside down for the young boy when the gift which he gets from his parents is nowhere close to his expectations.

Dhruv participates in a school play with Chhavi. He thought to be the king but finds to be a brother, so he cancelled his role. On that same day he got to knew about Chhavi's boyfriend Shantanu.

As the friends start spending time together in their school, Dhruv gets more and more attracted to Chhavi. In order to get closer to her, he also participates in the school’s annual day drama. He even hatches a plan to get Ranjan ousted from the play so that he can play the lead role opposite Chhavi. Dhruv gives it all in order to impress Chhavi. But things take a turn for Dhruv when he gets the news that his character in the play is actually the rakhi brother of Chhavi’s character.

Dhruv goes to have wine with his friends and after that they together go to Shantanu's house to beat him. There they get to know about the break up of them.

The episode starts with Dhruv getting the news about Chhavi having a boyfriend, Shantanu. This leads to his heartbreak because of which he goes to his friends who console him. Kabir gets Dhruv to drink some alcohol in order to deal with his heartbreak. After getting drunk the boys go to Chhavi’s boyfriend, Shantanu, where Dhruv gathers the courage and beats him up. But later on, he gets a piece of good news that Shantanu is no more in a relationship with Chhavi. But his happiness is shortlived as another surprise awaits him.

Dhruv and Chhavi gets more closer to each other. Chhavi will have to Kota for two years for her entrance test. So they fixed their date.

After all their actions get out in front of everyone, the trio of Dhruv, Kabir, and Susu get a warning from their vice principal which makes them serious about their studies. The group starts focusing on their studies and also get an unexpected offer from Chhavi who helps them in the same. But as they start studying together, Dhruv and Chhavi get closer to each other. And just when Chhavi is about to know Dhruv’s little secret, he confesses his love for her.

After Natasha's words, Chhavi decides to friendzone Dhruv. But they both enjoyed the date and Dhruv gave her a farewell gift. Finally, Chhavi also composes her love for him.

After Dhruv lets his feelings out of his heart in front of Chhavi, the two decide to go on a date. As the date night approaches both of them receive much advice and many suggestions from their respective friends regarding the same. As the duo is super excited about the date, Kabir asks Dhruv to make sure that they have the night of their lives. Chhavi’s friend Natasha, on the other hand, asks her to be careful against taking their relationship any further. Dhruv fumbles a bit on his date with Chhavi, but in the end, he takes her running to the school. He gifts her a t-shirt displaying many memories: Her friends’ thoughts and farewells are scribbled on it, as she leaves for Kota for further studies. Finally, Chhavi kisses Dhruv, which he really wanted, but was hesitant to ask.
