Inna Lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un

Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un (Arabic: إِنَّا لِلَّٰهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ‎, ʾinnā li-llāhi wa-ʾinna ʾilayhi rājiʿūn^a), also known as Istirja (Arabic: ٱسْتِرْجَاع‎, ʾIstirjāʿ), is a Quranic command for Muslims mentioned in verse 2:156[lower-alpha 1] of the Qur'an meaning "Verily we belong to Allah, and verily to Him do we return."[1] The phrase is commonly recited by Muslims especially upon hearing bad news that fell upon himself/herself or a person as a sign of patience and acknowledged that God is the Almighty, and He will not test us, His worshipper more than we can bear.

Arabic: ٱلَّذِينَ إِذَ أَصَابَتْهُم مُّصِيبَةٌۭ قَالُوا۟ إِنَّا لِلَّٰهِ وَإِنَّ إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ‎, lit. 'Those who, when an affliction visits them, say, 'Verily we belong to Allah, and verily to Him do we return.''

بِسْمِ اللَّـهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ

وَبَشِّرِ الصَّابِرِينَ ۝

الَّذِينَ إِذَا أَصَابَتْهُمْ مُصِيبَةٌ قَالُوا إِنَّا لِلَّهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ ۝ أُوْلَئِكَ عَلَيْهِمْ صَلَوَاتٌ مِنْ رَبِّهِمْ وَرَحْمَةٌ وَأُوْلَئِكَ هُمُ الْمُهْتَدُونَ
