A Maha Kumbhabhishekam was held in June 2007 for Malayampalayam Sri Ramalinga Sowdesweri Amman Temple. Sri Ramalinga Sowdesweri Amman for Maha Shakthi Soundamman. The three temples devoted to the goddess Sri Ramalinga Sowdeswari Amman, three temples to the goddess Mariamman, one to Lord Shiva owned by Malayampalayam Kannada Devanger.

There was a maha kumbhabisekam and two-day festival held on Pappichettiyur Sri Ramalinga Sowdeswari Amman Temple in February 2011. This temple is in near to the bus stand.

Om Kaliamman Temple

Jalakandapuram is known for its temples. On the route to Salem, the Shri Om Kaliamman temple is located at Kattampatti, about 1.5 kilometres (0.93 mi) from the town bus station. The well-known Kaliamman Festival happens in January every year when thousands of devotees come to celebrate at the temple.
