Jalen Morton

Jalen Morton (born July 6, 1997) is an American football quarterback for the Indianapolis Colts of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Prairie View A&M, and went undrafted in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Early Years

Morton attended Seguin High school in Arlington, Texas. During his high school career he passed for 1,041 yards and had 10 passing touchdowns.[1]

College career

Morton played college football at Prairie View A&M. His freshman year in 2015 he redshirted. In 2016 as a sophomore he Completed 72 of 146 passes for 945 yards with eight touchdowns and seven interceptions while rushing 58 times for 190 yards and six TD…led overtime comeback win over Alabama St. (10/8), completing 10 of 25 passes for 135 yards and one touchdown and rushing 11 times for 53 yards and one touchdown, leading game-tying 79-yard drive in final 2+ minutes of regulation before leading game-winning overtime drive…made first-career start at Rice, completing career-high 18 of 29 passes for career-best 278 yards with career-high tying two touchdowns (CH 62, 47) while rushing seven times for 47 yards and one touchdown (CH 39) to earn SWAC Newcomer Of The Week Honors.[2]

In 2017 as a junior, Morton played in six games he had eight carries for 65 yards and caught three passes for 21 yards.

In his senior season, he played in 10 games. Had 120 carries for 763 yards and seven touchdowns, and also completed 152 of 301 passes for 2,159 yards and 17 touchdowns. He was a redshirt senior in 2019.

Professional career

Green Bay Packers

On April 27, 2020, Morton signed with the Green Bay Packers.[3] On August 3, 2020, Packers released Morton.[4]

Indianapolis Colts

On February 1, 2021, Morton signed a reserve/future contact with the Indianapolis Colts.[5]
