Jia Aoqi

Jia Aoqi (Chinese: 贾奥奇) is a Chinese Sanshou kickboxer. He was the 2019 Wu Lin Feng 67kg World Cup winner.

As of February 2021, he is the #6 ranked super featherweight according to Combat Press.[1] He was ranked in the featherweight top ten by Combat Press between September 2019[2] and December 2020.[3]

Kickboxing career

He fought Pavel Grishanovich during the 2019 All Star Fight in Bangkok. Aoqi won the fight by a second round KO.[4]

Jin Aoqi was scheduled to fight Wei Ninghui during the 2019 WLF Fifth Stage.[5] Aoqi won the fight by a unanimous decision.

Aoqi took part in the 2020 Wu Lin Feng 67 kg World Cup. He beat Tawanchai PK Saenchaimuaythaigym in the semifinals by a second round TKO, and defeated Petchtanong Banchamek in the finals by a unanimous decision.[6]

Aoqi participated in the 2018 Kunlun Fight 66 kg Tournament.[7] He lost to Sergey Kulyaba in the quarterfinals by decision.[8]

In May 2020, Jia fought Wang Pengfei in the WLF World Cup 1st Stage. Aoqi won the fight by a split decision. In the WLF Second Stage he was scheduled to fight Liu Xiangming.[9] Xiangming won the fight by a second round TKO. In the WLF Fifth Stage he fought Wei Rui[10] and lost a unanimous decision. The loss to Rui was controversial, with many fans believing Aoqi won the first two rounds, and deserved the decision win.[11][12] In late November 2020, Aoqi fought Ji Xiang, losing the fight by a second round knockout.[13]
