João Diogo Fonseca Ferreira (born 22 March 2001) is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays for Benfica in Primeira Liga as a defender.

Football career

Born in Póvoa de Varzim, Ferreira made his professional debut with Benfica B in a 2–1 win over Estoril Praia in LigaPro on 11 August 2019.[1] On 25 January 2021, he made his debut with the first team in a Primeira Liga 1–1 draw against Nacional.[2]

Personal life

On 28 December 2020 he tested positive for COVID-19.[3]
