Johnny McGovern (born 1932) is an Irish retired hurler who played as a left wing-back for the Kilkenny senior team.

McGovern made his first appearance for the team during the 1952 championship and became a regular player over the next decade until his retirement after the 1963 championship. During that time he won two All-Ireland medals and five Leinstermedals.[1][2]
At club level McGovern played with the Bennesttsbridge club, winning eleven county club championship medals in a career that spanned more than twenty years.
