Jomon (director)

Director Jomon is an Indian screenwriter and director. He released hits in Malayalam between the years 1990 and 2006. His directorial debut film was Samrajyam. It also established Mammootty in a new avatar as a sophisticated and stylish Anti Hero. Samrajyam was a hit blockbuster film in Malayalam film industry. This film was dubbed and released in the same name in to Telugu and was a hit in Andhra Pradesh at the time. It was also released in Tamil Nadu under the same name. After working as assistant director in films like Aalkkoottathil Thaniye, Uyarangalil, Adiyozhukkukal, 1921 and Douthyam, Jomon became independent Malayalam cinema director with the 1990 Mammootty film Samrajyam. In 2016 he was in Talks to release a project named Legend starring Dileep.
