Early years and education
Born in Hammond Louisiana, Brooks graduated from LSU with a degree in kinesiology and completed his master's degree in sports management at Georgia.[1]Brooks began his athletic director career with Louisiana-Monroe, obtaining various jobs there.
Millsaps College
Brooks was first an athletic director at Millsaps College, a Division III school located in Jackson, Mississippi.[1]
University of Georgia
In 2016, Brooks went to the University of Georgia to become an executive Associate Director of Athletics. Over the course of the next 5 years, Brooks became elevated to a higher position. In 2018, Brooks became a deputy Athletics Director, and in 2019 became the senior deputy Athletics Director. In 2021, following the departure of Greg McGarity, Brooks became the Athletics Director for the University of Georgia.[2]
