• Megha Chakraborty[4] as Garima Ruhail / Gunnu; Dharampal and Kusum's elder daughter and Susheela's elder twin; the wittful and calm one among the twins; She is always quick to answer her father's patriarchal demands and also his tests using her wits; She has inherited Dharampal's skills to artfully use scissors on hair; She is also a good chef like her mother and the topper of Home economics department in her college; She has always had the dream to get married and starts crushing on Vikram. She disguised herself as Gunnu to run her father's shop along with Susheela as Sattu. (2020–present)
• Jiya Shankar[5] as Susheela Ruhail / Sattu ; Dharampal and Kusum's younger daughter and Garima's younger twin; she has inherited Dharampal's physical strength and impulsive nature and also practices boxing using his gloves; She often beats up men who talk against her father or look down upon women; Unlike Garima, she is short-tempered and wants to make her own identity before marriage; She also has a crush on Randeep Hooda; She disguised herself as Sattu to run her father's shop along with Garima as Gunnu. • Ashok Lokhande[6] as Dharampal Kaatelal Ruhail; a skilled barber and the head of the Kaatelal family; who has misogynist and patriarchal overviews; He thinks it is only sons who deserve to continue their father's legacy, even when daughters have the potential and also feels it a shame to get the help of his daughters to run his family ahead. • Sachin Chaudhary as Ghanshyam (Puttu) Ruhail; Shishupal and Chanchal's 15-year-old son; Dharampal's nephew and Garima-Susheela's cousin brother; a soft–hearted and naïve young boy; Being the only male heir of the family after Dharampal and Shisupal, he is often burdened with family's responsibilities and the salon-business which he is not interested in; However, he always helps his sisters to go forward in their plans, though he knows it is against Dharampal. He successfully runs a channel called G.O.A.T Puttu Kitkot channel which has a million followers, which is an added advantage for Puttu to help his sisters in their plans. (2020–present)
• Deepak Tokas as Jagat Seth; Dharampal's rival and Vikram's elder brother. He is a crafty real–estate businessman who wants to buy all the shops of Haathi Bazaar (Market). (2020–present)
• Ankit Mohan as Vikram; Jagat Seth's younger brother and Garima's love interest ; He is often drawn towards Garima's male-counterpart Gunnu without realizing, it is Garima in disguise. (2020–present)
• Paras Arora as Dr. Pramod Chautaala/Chota Haddi (Small Bone) ; A London–graduate orthopedist and Susheela's love interest; he got drawn towards Susheela in their very first encounter ; Aware of Gunnu-Sattu's real identity, he helps them to continue their disguise. (2020–present)
• Manoj Goyal as Shishupal Kaatelal Ruhail; Dharampal's younger brother; Chanchal's husband and Puttu's father; unable to become a professor, he turned clerk in Garima and Susheela's college; Unlike Dharmapal, he is more cowardly in nature with skills of a good cook; though he often helps his nieces in their plans; Later, he becomes an annoying spy on them foiling their plans. • Swati Tarar as Chanchal Ruhail; Shishupal's wife and Puttu's mother; a wily woman who often makes use of Kusum's forgetful nature and Garima's hairdressing talent. (2020–present)
• Hemaakshi Ujjain as Kusum Ruhail; Dharmpal's wife; Garima-Susheela's mother; a skilled chef but has the issue of forgetting things. (2020–present)

The series was announced by Contiloe Pictures Private Ltd and was confirmed in September 2020 by Sony SAB.[7] The first promo of the series was released on 6 November 2020.[8]
