Kaatelal & Sons is an Indian comedy television series that premiered on 16 November 2020 on Sony SAB.[1] Produced under Contiloe Pictures Private Ltd, it stars Megha Chakraborty, Jiya Shankar and Ashok Lokhande.[2][3]

Plot

Twin sisters Garima and Susheela defy their father's wishes and become hairdressers in their father's men's salon.

Jagat Seth, who wants to own all the shops of Haathi Bazaar where Kaatelal & Sons is found, has a dispute with Dharampal and decides to avenge him. Thus, Dharampal is gravely injured in an accident plotted by Jagat, getting his right hand fractured. It is where the life-journey of Dharampal's twin daughters start. They disguise themselves as men Gunnu & Sattu, take the help of their cousin brother Puttu and start running the salon of their ancestors, Kaatelal & Sons.

Meanwhile, Garima falls for Vikram, Jagat's younger brother and Dr. Pramod who is Dharampal's orthopedist falls for Susheela. Pramod learns Gunnu and Sattu's reality, however encourages and supports them. Ompal & Satbeer click a photograph of Susheela with Gunnu and Garima with Sattu and shows it to Dharampal. He decides to get them married to Gunnu and Sattu. This puts the girls into trouble. They tries to call off the wedding. Fortunately, Susheela's wedding is cancelled as they cook up a story that Pramod and Susheela are in love. However, it is decided Garima is to be married to Sattu on the very next day. Susheela, Garima, Puttu and Pramod try every trick but fail miserably. Finally, they hide the nuptial chain in Dharampal's pocket and the auspicious time gets over. Hence they are able to delay the wedding for 3 months. Meanwhile, Susheela gets a message that Randeep Hooda will be coming to their city and she gets excited to meet him owing to her dreams of becoming an actress.

Development

The series was announced by Contiloe Pictures Private Ltd and was confirmed in September 2020 by Sony SAB.[7] The first promo of the series was released on 6 November 2020.[8]
