Kandel

Kandel (German: [ˈkandl̩] (listen)) is a town in the Germersheim district of Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany, near the border with France and approximately 18 km north-west of Karlsruhe, and 15 km south-east of Landau.

Stabbing attack

In a stabbing attack on 27 December 2017 an allegedly 15-year-old asylum seeker from Afghanistan murdered his former girlfriend of the same age in a drugstore. The case made international headlines.[2][3]
