Kate Washington
Kate Rebecca Washington (born 1970) is an Australian politician who was elected to the New South Wales Legislative Assembly as the Member for Port Stephens for the Labor Party at the 2015 New South Wales state election.

Washington lost the seat of Port Stephens during the 2011 election after suffering a 12.4% two-candidate-preferred swing against Labor.[1] Four years later, she won the seat with a two-candidate-preferred swing towards her of 19.5%.[1]
Prior to entering Parliament, Washington worked as a health lawyer. She and her husband have three children, and live in Medowie.[2]
Washington is the Shadow Minister for Environment and Heritage and the Shadow Minister for Rural Health.[3] Her electorate office is located in Raymond Terrace.
