Kees Bakker (football)
Cornelis Klaas "Kees" Bakker (26 October 1943 – 25 March 2020) was a Dutch football chairman and police officer.
Bakker was born in Hilversum. He was Chief of Police of the region Gelderland-Midden from 1997 to 2003 and was previously part of the police force leadership in the region Rijnmond. In addition, Bakker was chairman of Toneelgroep Oostpool for ten years from 1999. Bakker has held various administrative positions at SBV Vitesse since 2003 as a member of the Supervisory Board and as a board member. He was chairman from 2008 to 2009 and from 2016 to 2017. He was chairman of the Stichting Betaald Voetbal "Vitesse-Arnhem" in 2013. Bakker was awarded the title Gouden Vitessenaar in 2016.
Bakker died on 25 March 2020 of COVID-19 in Arnhem. He was already seriously ill for some time.[1][2]
