Kendall Ross Bean

Kendall Ross Bean is an American composer, concert pianist, piano rebuilder, and entrepreneur[1]from the San Francisco Bay Area. As a master piano rebuilder and concert pianist, Bean first performed on a piano he rebuilt in one of the first classical music videos[2] Kendall Ross Bean: Chopin Polonaise in A Flat that was done in the music video format for the A&E Network. Simultaneous to his music career, Bean has been rebuilding pianos for over 30 years, including two notable pianos at Fantasy Studios, the Bill Evans[3] piano, the McCoy Tyner piano. In 2018, Bean was part of a collaborative benefit album for KCSM (FM) called Two Weeks Inside Studio D[4] on which he performed Fats Waller's Handfull of Keys on three of the Fantasy Studios pianos he had rebuilt and the sound engineer did a mystery mix of the three pianos in the same song.[5][6] Bean is also the co-concept designer for the USPS Building Bridges Special Postal Cancellation Series[7] [8]
