According to the 2010 census, Kincaid has a total area of 0.82 square miles (2.12 km2), all land.[4] The village is located near Sangchris Lake.

As of the census[6] of 2000, there were 1,441 people, 600 households, and 400 families residing in the village. The population density was 2,309.9 people per square mile (897.4/km2). There were 658 housing units at an average density of 1,054.8 per square mile (409.8/km2). The racial makeup of the village was 98.68% White, 0.49% Native American, and 0.83% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.62% of the population.

There were 600 households, out of which 29.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 51.5% were married couples living together, 10.3% had a female householder with no husband present, and 33.3% were non-families. 29.8% of all households were made up of individuals, and 16.0% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.40 and the average family size was 2.95.

In the village, the population was spread out, with 26.0% under the age of 18, 8.6% from 18 to 24, 28.9% from 25 to 44, 21.3% from 45 to 64, and 15.1% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 36 years. For every 100 females, there were 96.3 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 88.7 males.

The median income for a household in the village was $35,403, and the median income for a family was $40,590. Males had a median income of $31,594 versus $23,313 for females. The per capita income for the village was $16,553. About 10.1% of families and 10.5% of the population were below the poverty line, including 15.2% of those under age 18 and 7.5% of those age 65 or over.
