Kodumur
Kodumur or Kodumuru is a town and assembly constituency in Kurnool district in the state of Andhra Pradesh in India.[2]Former chief ministers Sri Damodaram Sanjeevaiah and Kotla Vijaya Bhaskara Reddy belong to this constituency. It comes under Kurnool Parliamentary constituency and the only SC reserved assembly constituency under Kurnool Parliament segment. Agriculture is the main source of income for the people of Kodumur.Cotton, Castor oil seeds, Red gram and vegetables are main crops of agriculture. TBP LLC[Tungabhadra Project Low Level Canal], HNSS Main Canal , GDP Canal are the main sources of irrigation.Major portion of the area of this mandal comes under arid region.Kondala Rayudu Temple of Kodumur is famous for Scorpion festival.[3]

Geography
Kodumuru has an average elevation of 342 meters.River Hundri passing nearby Kodumur and almost it touches each and every village of this mandal. At Laddagiri river Hundri meets with Pala Hundri and then meets tungabhadra at Roja near Kurnool. Majority of this mandal is covered by black cotton soil and places where red soil present are Yerradoddi, parts of Pulakurthi, Pyalakurthi and Laddagiri. Entire mandal comes under Tungabhadra water basin which is part of Krishna basin.This mandal is one of the low rainfall receiving mandals of the state.
