She won one doubles title on the WTA Tour, as well as 19 doubles titles on the ITF Women's Circuit in her career. On 26 August 2002, she reached her best singles ranking of world No. 287. On 5 April 2010, she peaked at No. 54 in the doubles rankings.

Dekmeijere won her only WTA title at the 2008 Cachantún Cup, where she entered the doubles event with Poland's Alicja Rosolska, defeating Mariya Koryttseva and Julia Schruff in the final.[1]

Playing for Latvia at the Fed Cup, Dekmeijere has a win–loss record of 14–16.
